We aim to recycle over 95% of the materials from any site we are working on.
Tilley and Barrett have always understood the importance of crushing and recycling, and the benefits it can bring, both environmentally and financially. We have a proud tradition of maintaining a high recycling percentage across our projects.
We aim to recycle over 95% of the materials from any site we are working on. Tilley and Barrett operate a waste management system that not only tracks and records the movement of all waste from site, but also compiles and records the effectiveness of our operations on every project. This provides immediate compliance with the recycling percentage set upon request.
With recent company investment a J45 had been added to our fleet of recycling units. This helps us ensure the highest rate of recyclable material is processed graded and reused at our sites across the home counties, providing our clients with both added value and cost savings.
With good crushing and recycling we can have a real impact, saving landfill space, conserving natural resources by reducing the need for gravel mining, water, coal, oil and gas, the reduction of pollution from waste transport to landfills and dumps, and a reduction in material and waste transport expenses.
Recycling one ton of cement can save 1,360 gallons of water and 900 kg of CO2.
