Working with Historic England on buildings of historic interest.
Client: Historic England
As part of the potential regeneration of the former Hodson’s Mill Site, Tilley and Barret was instructed by Homes England to carry out ‘making safe’ works to the former Mill Building.
On completion of our works, which included the removal of major pigeon guano, asbestos, and the installation of safe designed walkways, the Mill can undergo surveying so restoration and heritage works can be undertaken safely to continue the former mill’s site regeneration and preservation as a building of historic interest.
Tilley and Barrett work in many environments and over the last few years we have worked on many prestigious listed structures, carrying out ‘making safe’ activities, removal of contaminated materials, stabilising and installing temporary and permanent works, and further enriching developments with bespoke and compliant solutions to unstable or decaying buildings of national historic importance.
